Abbi Jacobson, who is best known for her starring role in the Comedy Central series Broad City has opened up about her sexuality in a recent interview.
Speaking with Vanity Fair, Jacobson was asked what her love life looks like, despite being so busy with work.
“I kind of go both ways … I date men and women,” Jacobson confirmed, making this the first time the actor had publicly stated her sexuality, despite, much speculation.
Elaborating on her answer, Jacobson says that gender was not what she looked for in a partner, “They have to be funny, doing something they love, I don’t know … I’ve never really been interviewed about this before.”
Jacobson who is currently promoting her new film 6 Balloons (co-starring Dave Franco and written and directed by Marja-Lewis Ryan), while continuing to work on Broad City, admits that having now coming out as bisexual, she might be opening herself up to people approaching her as potential matches, saying, “Yeah, who knows? The world is my oyster.”
34-year-old, Jacobson has also recently started a new season of her modern art podcast A Piece of Work and is also starring in the upcoming TV version of A League of Their Own for Amazon among other things.
