Top 5 Long Hair Trends 2017

The Easter break is over and the weather in the Southern Hemisphere at least is becoming a lot cooler, so maybe it’s time give yourself a little bit of extra warmth by growing your hair a little longer.

Sydney’s King of Hairdressing Alex PF Jackson says that long hair is certainly on trend and a great way to give you that change of style without deviating too much from your normal hair design.

“Long hair gives you so much more flexibility, whether it’s a professional work design you need one day, through to a stylish weekend or clubbing haircut,” explained Alex.

“It’s also the perfect compliment to any number of beards or accessories such as caps and beanies, always great styles for winter.

Alex has put together his top 5 current long hair trends for 2017. Which one would you like to try?

1. Long Curly Hair + Low Skin Fade

(modern-hairstyles.net)

Combines the best of long and short curls. Curls are long and angled up front for an easy to wear side part hairstyle. Hair is short but thick around the sides and back with a low skin fade to bring up the hairline.

This is one of my favorite long hairstyles for men this year.

2. Texturised Movement

One of the benefits of long hair is not just the range of hairstyle possibilities but the wild looks you can do.

This artfully messy ‘do strikes the balance between coiffed and cool. Tone it down a bit for work and ruffle it up for play.

3. Cool Messy Long Hair

An edgy cut with a jagged finish. Even with longer lengths in the fringe, this skater-inspired messy style is a combination of colour to create a variation in texture with a selection of La Biosthetique products.

Blow-dry in Beach Effect Styling Spray and define with Creme Clay.

4. Long Slick Back + Skin Fade + Full Beard

Long hair and beards do not have to be messy and some might argue look best groomed. Hair is slicked all the way back with a hint of curve.

To add some extra volume in the fringe, sprinkle some La Biosthetique Volume Powder. The full beard is also kept neat.

5. Presley inspired men’s style

The Presley inspired men’s style is a huge trend and this hair volume is literally huge. Achieving this gravity-defying height is a combination of blow drying with La Biosthetique Volume Mousse and finishing with Formulae Laque.

A very cool long hairstyle for men.
