Social media influencer and Sydney Mardi Gras ambassador Jade Kevin Foster is one of the headline models that will take to the catwalk for the Aurora Group’s Mardi Gras fashion event Style aGender on Friday.
He has more than 1.2million social media followers and has modeled for brands like Louis Vuitton and Mossimo but this Sydney boy is back to help out the Aurora Group as their special guest model.
This exciting new fundraiser on Friday 24 February brings together the thinkers, trendsetters and style icons of the Sydney queer community for a stunning Mardi Gras fashion event.
Aurora Chairperson Alison King said brand such as Digital Kittn, aydin was here and The Social Outfit are set to make an impact on the night.
“Fashion is a fabulous way to express yourself and these three brands do that by thinking outside the box in terms of gender and style,” Ms. King said.
These brands will share the night with designers such as Androswag, who are a pair of Melbourne designers aiming to create the ultimate androgynous line for girls with swag and Tom-Boi, where designer Clarita Farrugia decided to make masculine clothes she wanted to wear but couldn’t find easily in the market.
“We’re combining thought-provoking fashion with unique models, a Fashion Talks panel exploring gender fluid style, plus canapés and cocktails in our exclusive VIP lounge,” Ms. King said.
The unique event will be hosted by Patrick Abboud, a Walkley-nominated journalist, and presenter on SBS’s The Feed as well as an LGBTIQ advocate.
Style aGender will also have the help of a team of community models and well-known faces from the Australian LGBTI community.
The fundraising event will be held this coming Friday 24 Feb at Commune, 901 Bourke St, Waterloo in Sydney and tickets can be purchased here.
